PureText: Simple TXT Editor ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Android application.

Information Collection and Use

PureText: Simple TXT Editor does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or data from your device to external servers. All text files, notes, and app settings are stored locally on your device only — in the folders you choose.

Data Storage

All your data — including text files, notes, and app preferences — is stored exclusively on your device in standard file formats (such as .txt, .md, .csv, .xml, and .html). Your files are saved to your chosen folder (e.g., Documents or Downloads) and are never uploaded to any server. This data is not accessible to us or any third parties.

File Access

PureText requests access to your device's storage to read and write text files in the folders you select. This access is used solely for the purpose of opening, editing, and saving your files within the app. We do not scan, index, or transmit the contents of your files.

Biometric & Security Data

If you enable biometric security (fingerprint, pattern, or password) within the app, this authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. PureText does not store or have access to your biometric data.

Advertising

The free version of our app may display advertisements provided by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob). These ad networks may collect certain non-personal information (e.g., device type, OS version, ad interaction data) in accordance with their own privacy policies. Upgrading to Premium removes all ads.

Data Security

Since all your data is stored locally on your device as standard text files, the security of your information depends on your device's own security measures. We recommend using device passcodes, fingerprint locks, or facial recognition to protect access to your device and the app. You can also enable PureText's built-in biometric lock for an extra layer of protection.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data within PureText: Simple TXT Editor, including:

• The ability to view, edit, and manage all your text files directly in the app
• The ability to move, copy, or backup your files using any file manager or by connecting to a PC
• The ability to delete individual files or restore them from the in-app Recycle Bin
• The ability to completely remove all app data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app — your files in selected folders remain safe

Third-party Services

Aside from the optional ad network in the free version, we do not integrate with any third-party services that collect personal data. The core text editor functions completely offline and independently.

Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is suitable for general audiences and does not require any account creation or personal data submission.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
